Rehearsals and May, 2021

Concert Postponed

Once again the leadership and singers of the Chorus were forced to address issues caused by the pandemic. The decision to cancel rehearsals and postpone three performances was difficult, but necessary. This marks the first time in our 76 year history that the Chorus was unable to rehearse and perform.

Despite this, we continue to be excited to perform the stunningly gorgeous music programmed for the May, 2020 concert: Dan Forrest's Requiem for the Living and Ola Gjeilos' Luminous Night of the Soul. Our hope is to resume rehearsals of these works in August and to perform them in the fall of 2021.

Singing beautiful music with others is such a balm for the soul, and we miss it intensely right now. We hope that you are all making and finding beauty where you can in this uncertain time, and that very soon we can once again be together, joined by our common love of great choral music.

In the meantime, here is a recording of Forrest's Requiem for the Living to give you a taste of what's to come!
